Botanical ingredient expertise since 2004
Our Approach
Botanical ingredients
to your specification.
NutriHerb has worked with natural ingredients since 2004, supporting food, beverage, nutraceutical and cosmetic applications with botanical extracts, ingredient evaluation and manufacturing support.
Some enquiries arrive with a complete specification. Others begin with a sample, a target component or a question about how an ingredient will behave in a formula. We review the botanical source, intended use and required format to establish what needs to be evaluated.
A purchasing specification alone may not describe how an ingredient needs to perform. If a powder must fit an existing blend, for example, include the particle size and mixing conditions that matter to your process. You can still contact us before the full specification is ready.
01
Discovery & evaluation
Lab Level
The starting point is the botanical name, plant part, extract ratio or target component. Send your specification or details of a reference sample if you have one, together with the intended application.
Agree what the sample will be assessed against: appearance, taste, dispersibility, particle characteristics and any analytical limits that matter to your process. Include the test method where it is part of your purchasing specification.
Available samples and supporting specifications can then be reviewed with your team. Sample quantity, preparation time and additional testing are confirmed for the request. Your evaluation feedback helps identify any changes needed before an order is considered.
02
Scale-up & manufacture
Production Level
After sample review, confirm the specification, trial-order quantity and expected repeat demand. These details inform the processing, packing and delivery discussion.
Powder blending, granulation and selected OEM or ODM formats, including capsules and tablets, are options to review against the brief. A standard catalogue ingredient and a new custom process may have different batch-size and preparation requirements.
Before placing an order, agree the pack size, required documents and shipment arrangements as well as the ingredient specification. Minimum order quantities and lead times are quoted for the particular material and processing route.
03
Application & supply
Formulation Level
A dry blend, beverage and topical product may need different ingredient characteristics. Provide the intended format, key accompanying ingredients and relevant processing conditions, along with any color, flavor, dispersibility or carrier preferences.
NutriHerb supplies botanical extracts, functional ingredients, natural colors, fruit and vegetable powders and selected liposomal ingredients. The choice depends on the application and the specification, not just the ingredient name.
Include the destination market and label constraints in the brief. Evaluate the sample in your intended formula and process before commercial use; ingredient-level test results do not replace finished-product evaluation.
Documentation & Quality
Documents for your
technical review.
A specification lists the agreed requirements. A certificate of analysis (COA) records the reported results for a batch. A technical data sheet (TDS), where available, provides information relevant to handling and use.
Request the documents your team needs before sample approval or order confirmation. For component content, heavy metals or microbiological testing, specify any required method, limits or test panel so the available information can be checked against your brief.
For additional third-party testing, agree the laboratory, scope, cost and timing in advance. Check certification requests against the particular product and certificate scope.
